Anthony Rizk is a Visiting Fellow at the CSSM in the spring 2025.
I am a medical anthropologist working on various topics related to political economy and health, with a particular interest in how everyday experiences produce, reproduce and contest capitalist economic processes and formations. My research is developing in the areas of the collapse of privatized healthcare, pharmaceutical shortages, the diasporic movements of microbiologists and microbial isolates, and the interactions between microbes and financial systems. I have a geographic interest in Lebanon, the Middle East and Arab contexts.
